Color markers!

Hey everyone, it’s been a crazy week!

You know how you first make a quick first sketch, then create a more detailed one, and then (if you like it) you work with it either digitally or not?… And how I think we’re supposed to preferably use a pencil for that? Yeah, well, I believe we all have our techniques, and what works for some doesn’t quite works for others…

What I’m saying here is, I’ve been sketching with a baby blue stabilo marker a lot lately! (sometimes I also use green) and I have to say, it has made it much easier for me to construct the body of my characters, so everything works out a bit more dynamic and consistent than it used to.

After that I use a pencil or some chinese ink to outline the character. This two are an example of what I’m talking about!

Sweet #1

So, the topic for this week’s Illustration Friday is “Sweet” I came up with two ideas that are actually very similar, but I love how the two sketches were looking and I decided to work with both of them!

This is the first one, to me it look gooooorgeous and I’m quite happy with it! I’m sure the next one will be looking beautiful too! Improving feels so good, I have to say! You’ll see the second one soon.

Sketching!

Though my hand sketches aren’t usually this detailed, it’s fun to work like this every once in a while!

My internet is baaaack!!!

It was about time now! so, even without much internet lately, I’ve been pretty busy working to get the major in the college of my dreams! And so far so good, things are looking up and they will hopefully continue that way!

Today I’m showing you one of the works I made for my portfolio, I uploaded a picture a while ago when I was only starting it, I made it with markers, dot by dot… It took me forever to finish it!!! But it was worth it, I really like the final look.

Everybody always blames the little birdie, but was it really him..?? Hmm.. tweet tweet, maybe!

Power issues?

I think I haven’t posted anything in two weeks, but the internet conection here is hideous at the moment.. So, I’m just passing by and decided to upload a small comic I made last week, about my ironic paranoia! (In the second frame, where you can see everybody complaining in spanish, they’re complaining about the fact that there’s no power in many places of my country.. so, you get the rest!)
